Our story
It can feel like a minefield when you require work carried out to your property and you're not sure where to turn. Balancing cost and quality can be tricky, and you won't want to compromise on either.
Dundee-based company EC2 specialises in home improvements and renovations. Our commitment to quality materials and workmanship has earned us an impressive reputation over 18 years in business, with over 30 years of experience in home improvements.
Founded and led by Dave Robertson, EC2 has grown from a small local operation into one of Tayside's most respected home improvement firms. We've completed work for thousands of customers, from single roof repairs to full house renovations and commercial contracts alongside Dundee City Council.
Our philosophy has always been simple: use the best materials on the market, employ experienced specialist tradesmen, and never cut corners. That approach has meant the vast majority of our work now comes through word-of-mouth recommendations from satisfied customers.

Dave Robertson begins his career in home improvements, a trade he's worked in for over 30 years.

Our approach
It's not just what we install. It's how we install it, and who installs it. The three things that make EC2 different.
We only use the best products on the market. Liniar: the most technically advanced uPVC window profile in the UK. Freefoam heavy-duty solid boards for rooflines. Sika Sarnafil single-ply membranes on flat roofs. We don't use cheap alternatives. We don't cut corners.
Our in-house teams have worked their trades for 15 or 16 years, every day of the week. A plumber trying to be a joiner just doesn't work. We make sure the job you're getting done is being done by the proper tradesmen.
When something is fitted by EC2, it's fitted properly. Thousands of customers over the years, and very, very few callouts for repairs. The guarantee holds firm, and that reputation is why most of our work now comes through word of mouth.

EC2 serves customers across a wide stretch of eastern Scotland, with domestic and commercial projects spanning Tayside, Fife and beyond. We've travelled as far as Fort William for the right project.
